Meet Darren Italiani, the dedicated assistant instructor for our Adult/Youth BJJ programs. Darren's journey in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu began in 2012, fueled by his passion for martial arts. Pairing his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt with a remarkable 5th degree black belt in karate, and over three decades of experience in teaching, training, and competing in Goshin Jutsu Karate, Darren brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our academy.

Having closed his own karate school to fully immerse himself in the world of BJJ, Darren's commitment is unmatched. Outside of the academy, he shares his love for learning as a middle school math teacher, impacting the community for over two decades.

Darren lives by the mantra, 'we don’t rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training,' embodying the spirit of continuous improvement and resilience.
